WE PRODUCE SHAREABLE MOMENTS
Hosted by the Chicago Loop Alliance, ACTIVATE is a series of pop-up celebrations in Chicago’s Loop where local artists and designers are invited to bring life to unused interior and exterior spaces in downtown Chicago. For this indoor edition of ACTIVATE, Common Place Projects collaborated with Matt Terdich to design, fabricate, and install a world of triangles using only linear elements —metal rod, wood beams, tape strips, and light tubes— which transformed the space into a unique experience where participants could gather, connect, and enjoy a night of fun. Pyramid structures created impromptu seating areas for people to socialize in, light tubes added a sense of drama, and reflective tape defined the space and connected all the elements into a playful pattern.
