WE ACTIVATE SHARED SPACES
Play Blocks is a set of interactive furniture pieces that were custom designed to activate Gallagher Way —the community plaza next to Wrigley Field. Our goal was to create a sculptural furniture and play experience that included fun shapes and bold colors to energize the space and that provided moments of discovery and surprise —all while meeting the challenge of keeping the blocks lightweight yet sturdy and durable enough to stand up to the outdoor elements and extended use.

SIX SHAPES - 24 BLOCKS - INFINITE COMBINATIONS
Visitors of all ages can have fun interacting with Play Blocks in many ways —arranging the blocks in any combination, stacking and building with them, etc. The possibilities are endless and are only limited by one’s imagination.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL
The set of 24 blocks are designed and scaled to be multifunctional —allowing adults and children to also use them as seats, tables, and recliners while enjoying other activities in the plaza.

CUSTOMIZABLE SURFACE DESIGN
Play Blocks was also designed with decals that can be removed and replaced —allowing the activation to be customized throughout its lifespan to suit the client’s needs. The shapes can be clad with surface designs of other playful patterns or graphics to complement a season, holiday, or other theme or event.
