It's a new year, and with a new year comes change —and we have a big one! We are excited to share that MK Studio is now Common Place Projects. 

Michael and I have been mulling a new name for our placemaking and experience design studio for a little while now —we wanted to find a name that better represents what we do, aligns with our philosophy, and reflects our mission and vision.

Our work centers on the shared spaces and common places that are all around us. We activate spaces where we all gather in work, leisure, and life and transform them into impactful places that foster community and connection through engaging temporary and permanent placemaking, interactive shared experiences, and imaginative programming. Often focusing on overlooked and underutilized spaces in need of revitalization, we elevate the commonplace and turn it into dynamic and energizing common places that bring people together. 

With a focus on community, connection, and fun, we feel that Common Place Projects is the perfect name to show the world what we do, what we believe in, and what we value.
