Exploring transformation, interaction, and movement in the built environment
Design research that explores kinetic and interactive surfaces for interiors, building facades, and other architectural elements
Shown through thoughts, experiments, and working prototypes, each idea explores either a passive or active interaction by the viewer, and all are intentionally ‘no-tech’ to insure a more direct connection between the viewer/user and the surface. Simple paper folding techniques, elements of Kirigami, and strategic material layering are used to explore ideas about interaction, movement, and transformation.
